Dates: 1974 (Copyright), 23 June 1974 (Release)

Country: United Kingdom

Director: Don Sharp

Synopsis: Action crime drama. David Callan, apparently a bookkeeper's assistant, is really a former robber and skilled killer. He is assigned by Charlie Hunter, head of a shady government agency working out of a scrap yard based in a former school, to kill a German called Schneider, who works in the office next to Callan, and who is secretly an international arms dealer. Callan must ensure he is not out of practice, and he makes use of certain underworld contacts to be sure he has the right gun. All the while he is ingratiating himself with the arms dealer, who believes Callan shares his love of recreating historical battles with painted figures. For all his careful preparation, Callan still has a nagging doubt as whether he is being dealt with entirely squarely by Hunter and his team.
